On April 7th the City will be closing playgrounds in all city parks until further notice to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Staff would like to remind all park users playground equipment is not being regularly sanitized at this time.

There are also hotlines available for school and child care questions, health questions, and housing questions.
(4/3/20) FLOOD DETOURS:Please plan ahead for possible delays with the city bus. Routes 3/4 and 3/6 are detoured due to closures of the Sorlie and Point Bridges.
There will be a bus that will travel back and forth between Cabelas and the Transit Center to connect riders to other bus routes located only within the City of Grand Forks, as well as, allow you to transfer back to an East Grand Forks route.
Due to rising flood waters the Minnesota Avenue Bridge also known as the Point Bridge will be closed at noon on Saturday, April 4th.
The flood information page is up and running. It includes once again the gauges showing the river level and changes to the river. It also includes updates from the city and the view of the Sorlie Bridge.
Residents are being reminded that they need to stay off of the levee system and out of the closed greenway.
Residents are not allowed to walk on the levee system unless it is on a trail leading up and into the greenway. The greenway is closed due to trails being under water.

Starting today, April 2nd, The Chamber is holding virtual meetings covering a variety of information for businesses during this pandemic. They are using Zoom for these meetings and they are capped at 300 participants.

Starting with the March 24th Work Session, the Council will be meeting remotely. These meetings will still be streamed. Please review the public notice for how meetings will be held and how to make arrangements to attend remotely if needed.
The East Grand Forks Public School will be providing free meals to all children who are 18 years and younger while the school is closed. All children will be eligible. Please see the attachment for all the delivery sites where meals can be picked up.
