The City of Grand Forks will be closing a section of Minnesota Avenue starting at 7pm on Monday, October 5th. The Minnesota Avenue Bridge will remain open during this project. Traffic will be detoured onto 3rd Street.
This project is expected to take approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting.
Starting today, September 28th, there is repair work being done on the Greenway trail system between mile marker 4.75 to mile marker 6. The trail is not closed but trail users should be cautious when going through this area.

Residents do have an option of dropping their absentee ballot at City Hall with Administration Staff between 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday until 5pm on November 2nd.
With City Hall still closed to the public a resident would need to call the Administration Office at (218) 773-2483 to let staff know you are at the door or what time you will be dropping off your ballot.

Absentee balloting is available City Hall. Until City Hall is opened up to the public, please call (218) 773-2483 and make an appointment to vote absentee.
Absentee balloting will also be available at City Hall on Saturday, October 31st before each election from 10am to 3pm. No appointment is necessary to vote on Saturday, the doors will be open.
Clean-up week is not intended for picking up large construction projects, tree removal, or for putting out electronic and hazardous waste which should be dropped off at Public Works on Saturday, October 10th between 9am and 3pm.

Due to the November 3rd General Election and both meeting rooms being used as poll locations, the Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd will be moved to Wednesday, November 4th and will start at 5:00pm.
